He is survived by his wife, Essie; two daughters, Patricia Carriere of Atlanta, and Caron Livingston of Buffalo, NY; a son, Steve of Athens, GA; three stepsons, William Roe of Greensboro, NC, and Michael Roe and David Roe, both of Orlando; two stepdaughters, Judy Robert and Jeannie Doubrava, both of Orlando; a brother, Doug of Pensacola; his sisters, Norma Wells of Tuscaloosa, AL, and Marie Craig, Joyce McKibben, and Marilyn, all of Atlanta; and 10 grandchildren. Services were held at St. Thomas Missionary Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Icy; a son, Beno; a daughter-in-law, Julie; 3 grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
