QUALITY SUPPORT PROGRAM AT SCALE

Bharti Foundation is committed to ensuring students’ holistic development by making schools into vibrant institutions that offer quality education by strengthening co-scholastic interventions. The belief is of a holistic approach to education to inspire students to become engaged in the learning and schooling process. QSP at Scales aims to transform government schools into vibrant and integrated learning institutions by strengthening and introducing new techniques and interventions at the state and district levels. The core philosophy of the program is that if schools become engaging and happy spaces, it would result in the development of students as they acquire various life skills that are critical to academics.

PROGRAM APPROACH

The foundation, in partnership with education departments, uses its expertise to implement NEP recommendations such as the development of life skills and initiatives, student internships, etc. We draw upon the field-tested processes, rural expertise, and experiences gathered from over 15 states to provide technical support.

  •  No Bag Day

  • Compilation of high-quality TLMs in form of a State’s TLM Book and placement on TheTeacherApp 
  • Convoke – national level symposium encouraging teachers to use evidence-based practices for improvement 
  • School Excellence Program for school leadership
  • Exposure to high-quality Webinars for leaders on TheTeacherApp 
  • Home Mentoring Program to empower parents

Process of implementation

Work with the state resource group

  • Create a roadmap
  • Design implementation strategy including training, monitoring, support and recognition

Create guidelines/orders

  • Strengthen the existing guidelines or support the state to create new guidelines

Capacity building

  • Build state resource group capacity and organize training for district resource groups and teachers/heads of schools

Institutionalize support and review mechanism

  • Create frameworks, formats, and data analysis processes at the district and state level
  • Contribute to regular monitoring and review

Bharti Foundation’s support

Bharti Foundation provides technical and management support at the state to execute the intervention. The technical resources work closely with key government stakeholders and ecosystem partners to develop goals, targets, roadmap and support implementation.

Job Description Academic Mentor

  • To support School Heads / Principals and strengthen the curriculum planning, delivery and class room transaction process for improved effectiveness.
  • To optimize usage and improvement of school’s infrastructure and facilities especially working toilets, functional library, computer labs, Science labs and energized classrooms.
  • To activate critical processes such as sports, drawing and other student cantered activities and events.
  • To smoothen academic operations throughout the year and also non-academic operations viz sports day, annual day, republic day, community volunteering, PTM etc.
  • To support teachers through interactive sessions.
  • To conduct subject wise week in schools for Science, English and Math linked with the annual curriculum.
  • To extend technical support to teachers on subject specific skills.
  • To support on difficult concepts and conduct specific need-based refresher training.
  • To extending support in planning the entire academic year including curriculum rollout, remedial, assessments and processes for ongoing monitoring and mentoring.
  • Candidates should aware about local language.
