Bharti Foundation among Top 10 ‘India’s Best NGOs to work for 2020’

October 8, 2020: Bharti Foundation is certified among ‘India’s Best (Top 10) NGOs to work for’ by ‘Great place to Work (TM) 2020’ for the third time. Bharti Foundation was also the only NGO to be recognized among India’s top 100 companies to work for by Great Place to Work Institute India in June 2020. 

37 NGOs had sent their entries this year. All organizations were evaluated on the quality of employee experience, through a global validated survey instrument and a proprietary tool of the Institute that evaluates the quality of people practices in an organization, covering the entire employee lifecycle.

Being selected amongst the top 10 NGOs in the country for the third time highlights Bharti Foundation’s ideology of creating a safe and satisfying workplace for its employees, while driving a positive transformation for the empowerment of the internal stakeholders.

Ms. Mamta Saikia, CEO, Bharti Foundation expressed her delight on bagging the title of ‘Top 10 NGOs to work for’ and said, “It gives me pride that we have a team of over 1650 extremely motivated professionals, and this certification is a testimony of our culture that we have inculcated over the years. Our culture of collaboration and innovation has given each one of us a sense of challenge, ownership and purpose. This extends to providing a safe and happy environment to the underprivileged children in our education programs.”

The Foundation’s primary focus has been centered on the education of children across rural India while nurturing a culture of positivity, collaboration, innovation and process orientation within the organization. A bouquet of programs to enhance the skillset of the employees is organized throughout the year, in an environment of promoting holistic growth. As a part of the robust selection process, Institute undertook a robust validation process on the data gathered through the assessment process. The cumulative score of two types of assessments formed the basis of an organization making it to the list of ‘India’s 10 Best NGO’s to Work For’. No individual or jury were involved in the process – only employee feedback and quality of people practice determines if an organization is a great workplace.

Job Description Academic Mentor

  • To support School Heads / Principals and strengthen the curriculum planning, delivery and class room transaction process for improved effectiveness.
  • To optimize usage and improvement of school’s infrastructure and facilities especially working toilets, functional library, computer labs, Science labs and energized classrooms.
  • To activate critical processes such as sports, drawing and other student cantered activities and events.
  • To smoothen academic operations throughout the year and also non-academic operations viz sports day, annual day, republic day, community volunteering, PTM etc.
  • To support teachers through interactive sessions.
  • To conduct subject wise week in schools for Science, English and Math linked with the annual curriculum.
  • To extend technical support to teachers on subject specific skills.
  • To support on difficult concepts and conduct specific need-based refresher training.
  • To extending support in planning the entire academic year including curriculum rollout, remedial, assessments and processes for ongoing monitoring and mentoring.
