Mamta Saikia is the Chief Executive Officer of Bharti Foundation, the development arm of Bharti Enterprises, one of India’s leading business groups with interests in telecom, agri business, financial services, retail, realty, and communication & media devices.
As the CEO of Bharti Foundation, Mamta plays a key role in project expansion and enhancement of quality standards and system efficiency, while constantly keeping the team morale high to deliver their best in challenging circumstances. She leads the development of the organization and its education programs at primary, elementary and senior secondary standards. Through her experience, clear vision and strategic thinking, she has also been able to establish a successful and replicable model of Public Private Partnership.
Mamta has worked with her team to transfer the learnings and good practices of the Satya Bharti School Program to Government Schools through the Satya Bharti Quality Support Program. The program envisages improving the quality of schooling through need-based interventions in government schools to take them on the path of excellence.
Mamta started her career as a management consultant after completing her Post Graduation Diploma in Business Management. She then moved to CRY – Child Rights & You. In her tenure of nine years at CRY, Mamta held various prestigious positions including Member of the Management Committee, Head – Resource Mobilization and Head – Global Operations. Before joining Bharti Foundation, Mamta worked extensively on the issues of disability, animal rights, women’s issues and HIV AIDS. She has served as the Chair of SAFRG, an Indian NGO working towards training other NGOs. She has been on the Board of Resource Alliance, a UK based organization working globally in the area of capacity building.

Mamta has recently been honoured in the 100 Women Achievers of India, an initiative by the Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD), Govt. of India. All women achievers were felicitated by the President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee on January 22, 2016. She has been honored among 2019 Class of Influential Leaders by AACSB International – the world’s largest business education alliance. Under her leadership, Bharti Foundation also bagged the ‘Hurun India CSR and Philanthropy Award 2019’ at its very first edition. She has also been awarded the Karmaveer Puraskaar – National Citizen Awards for Social Justice and Action for her contribution to the field of development and corporate social responsibility. She authored a book titled “Money matters…People Too” which is based on the issue of self-reliance in the Indian NGO sector and was released in Germany in June 2005.
Antony Nellissery supports the education programs of Bharti Foundation through management of functions – Academics, Research, Organisation MIS and Partnerships.
Antony is an educationist with more 22 years of experience and a certified Coach. He started his career as a teacher at Don Bosco School. In Rajya Shiksha Kendra (Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan program of Government of Madhya Pradesh), Bhopal, he was instrumental in introducing research based monitoring indicators and building the capacity of SCERT and district education officials for research and training. He worked in UNICEF to implement the quality package in Madhya Pradesh. As an Area representative for North India for Sight savers International he established its eye care program. As a Project Director in Save the Children he led the Technical Cooperation fund established by European Union for Ministry of HRD, Government of India and in coordination with NIEPA, University of Edinburgh, Scotland, Nottingham College for School Leadership, CSIE Bristol and Institute of Education, London. The project saw the mainstreaming of School Leadership and teaching standards in SSA. He has organized thematic workshops for National and State level education officials.
A graduate from the Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA), Gujarat and his passion towards development of children is visible in all his actions and activities. While he has traveled extensively in 30 out 36 states/UTs of India, he has also visited Scotland, England, South Africa, Spain, Thailand, Honk Kong, Malaysia and Australia. He is also Global Goodwill Ambassador (Humanitarian). He is pursuing his Ph.D from Amity University, Noida.
MMH Beg is a business savvy and result-oriented HR Professional with more than two decades of rich and varied experience in the entire gamut of HR, both the strategic and operational level across various industry sectors including CSR.
He has contributed extensively I the areas of change management, Organizational Development, Culture and Institution building and People and Leadership Development. Beg is currently associated with Bharti Foundation since 2008 as Head-Human Recourses and under his leadership. Foundation has been recognized among “India’s 100 Best Companies to Work For” for two consecutive years in 2017 and 2018. In the past, he was also associated with organizations such as Electrolux Appliances and Apollo Tyres.
Beg is also a social media enthusiast, a regular panelist in various Management Summits and writes articles for business magazines.
Rakesh Grover was appointed Head of Finance function at Bharti Foundation in 2019. He remains focused on supporting the organization in achieving its philanthropic goals, through optimized management of resources and setting up of governance and financial discipline. He brings with him more than 20 years of wide experience in accounting and financial management, controllership, business planning and analysis, strategizing, resource management.
Prior to joining Bharti Foundation, he worked with CottonConnect, a multi-national social enterprise, as Sr. Director – Finance & Strategy.
Rakesh completed his qualification from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India in 2002.
Praveen was appointed Head of Quality Management at Bharti Foundation in 2021.
Heralded as “The Certified Quality leader”, Praveen has undertaken a mission to enable individuals and teams for success through the application of excellence concepts. A purpose of his life that impacted the lives of 1000+ individuals globally.
In over 22 years of experience, he has established excellence function from inception in multiple organizations and traveled globally to establish quality frameworks.
As an excellence assessor, he is focused on assessing and improving the process and business maturity. Before Bharti Foundation, he was associated with FGnC Consulting, Motilal Oswal Financial Services, Deutsche Bank, Infosys BPM, and Aditya Birla group. He is a lean six sigma Master Black Belt and conducts workshops on change management and problem-solving.
He believes in creating a transformation balance between Degree of change, speed, and investment for driving win-win engagement. His contribution is recognized by “Leadership with a Purpose award 2018” by Transformance Business Media.
Praveen is a BE (Electrical) from NIT, Bhopal along with MBA (HR). He is the author of the eBook “Win By Change”.
