July, 2017: Bharti Foundation, in association with HQ Northern Command, organized ‘Capacity Building Tours‘ for Ladakh Army Goodwill Schools’ Teachers and Principals to one urban and two rural schools of Ludhiana.
The three-day long visits were focused on providing exposure and hands-on learning experience on processes and practices that drive and support effective management of scholastic & co-scholastic aspects of education in a schooling system.
Overall, three schools were visited by the group, namely Satya Bharti Adarsh Sr. Secondary School, Sherpur Kalan, Satya Bharti Adarsh Sr. Secondary School, Rauni, and Sat Paul Mittal School, all in the district of Ludhiana.
Based on the exposure and research, the areas of improvement were identified by the participants based on their own observations, interactions, discussions and feedback. The conclusions by the participants during the session were recorded in pre-designed Observation Sheets. At the end of the trips, common take aways were taken into consideration and collaborated to devise an action plan, as agreed upon by the group.
All in all, the exposure visits acted as a perfect platform for a comparison and action model; working in a team gave the participants a huge scope of opportunities to explore in terms of profession as well as personal improvement.
