“My wife died while giving birth to our daughter. We were in a government hospital, and despite the doctor’s efforts, we lost her. Her last words to our daughter were, ‘Forgive me; I am leaving you alone…’ I cried endlessly holding her. I promised her that I will give all the happiness in this world to our daughter, including her share of love. I never kept her away from my eyesight even for a moment. As I saw her growing up, I too started to grow as a responsible man. I cannot tell you how blessed I feel when I see her smile. Feeding her, bathing her, making her walk, and making her utter ‘Papa’ gave me the most everlasting happiness. She has grown up and now she has started going to school. I am an illiterate person, but I can tell you that education changes lives. My daughter is my hero, and she says – I am hers.”
