Science and Exploration Club

February, 2020: Bharti Foundation, in association with the partner Government School of Gudda district, formed the Science and Exploration Club under the guidance of the science teacher, who was given the position of Club In-charge.

The President and the members of the Science Club came up with the idea of organizing a science model making competition, to coach and help the junior students in understanding different textbook concepts of Science practically. This initiative turned out to be an excellent display of a knowledge sharing platform on science concepts.

It has been observed by the teachers and the club members that after the formation of the club, all the students have become very eager and active when it comes to the subject. The students are enthusiastic about taking part in activities conducted by the Club, such as Science Week and Model Making.

 “Encouraging the scientific curiosity and self-provoked initiatives is core part of students’ engagement, which this activity brought out,” said the teacher of GSSS Gudda, Mahendergarh.

The Principal of Gudda said, “Students just need some guidance, give them chance they will surprise you with lot of things.”

Job Description Academic Mentor

  • To support School Heads / Principals and strengthen the curriculum planning, delivery and class room transaction process for improved effectiveness.
  • To optimize usage and improvement of school’s infrastructure and facilities especially working toilets, functional library, computer labs, Science labs and energized classrooms.
  • To activate critical processes such as sports, drawing and other student cantered activities and events.
  • To smoothen academic operations throughout the year and also non-academic operations viz sports day, annual day, republic day, community volunteering, PTM etc.
  • To support teachers through interactive sessions.
  • To conduct subject wise week in schools for Science, English and Math linked with the annual curriculum.
  • To extend technical support to teachers on subject specific skills.
  • To support on difficult concepts and conduct specific need-based refresher training.
  • To extending support in planning the entire academic year including curriculum rollout, remedial, assessments and processes for ongoing monitoring and mentoring.
  • Candidates should aware about local language.
