“I got to experience a panoply of government schools in Rajasthan’s Jodhpur district that Bharti Foundation aids through its Satya Bharti Quality Support Program. This initiative complements the Government’s program to improve a child’s school experience with a particular focus on the four key pillars of student empowerment, school leadership and teacher’s engagement, parents and community involvement and the school environment.
The club and house systems introduced in the schools are enabling the students take on new responsibilities and encouraging individual learning and leadership qualities essential for progress once outside of the education system. The annual series of workshops facilitated by the Foundation aim at providing skills to students on things, such as time management, career counselling and note making. Despite these skills not being examinable they are none the less vital as many students are often unaware of what different pathways to take once finishing school.
The impressive impact of Bharti Foundation’s efforts upon the govt. school students proves how necessary their work is.”
