Summer Camp at IIIT, Hyderabad

Ms. S. Netra is a student from Grade IX from Government Junior college for Girls, Ramanagara.

Netra has been keenly interested in Science and Mathematics and has a strong base in the subjects. Netra was selected as part of the Gifted Students Residential Summer Camp wherein she got an opportunity to interact with 29 other like-minded students selected from across the country at IIIT, Hyderabad. These students were engaged in different co-curricular activities such as drawing, dance, drama, scientific experiments etc. By the end of the camp students presented a topic of their choice to different dignitaries and visitors from the Development Sector.

As a result of the exposure, Netra, an introvert student, was able to overcome her stage fear and shared her experiences not just at the summer camp but also addressed her school mates in the school assembly on 3rd June. She shared all her learnings from the summer camp and now looks forward to similar experiences.
