Winners of Abohar

India is a vast land with enormous talents seeding from minutest of villages. Abohar, a small municipal corporation in Fazilka district of Punjab is one such village that has a talented lot of students who want to achieve big in their lives.

The students of Ghs Branch Abohar Secondary School are not only enthusiastic about books, but are also passionate about sports. The school encourages them to participate in many inter school sport competitions conducted by the Punjab Government. There are many students who used to train by themselves and aim at winning medals for their school and district.

Under Satya Bharti School Program, Bharti Foundation focuses on increasing student activity in schools and provide better exposure. It promotes participation of students in competitions to help them build their confidence and leadership skills. In the academic session of 2019-20, Bharti Foundation facilitated sports material and a special coach for Karate training for interested students at the school.

The students could benefit so much from this opportunity that they went on to win 9 Gold, 9 Silver, 4 bronze medals in Karate at district level championship. Furthermore, a girl student secured 3rd position in the State Karate Championship.

Job Description Academic Mentor

  • To support School Heads / Principals and strengthen the curriculum planning, delivery and class room transaction process for improved effectiveness.
  • To optimize usage and improvement of school’s infrastructure and facilities especially working toilets, functional library, computer labs, Science labs and energized classrooms.
  • To activate critical processes such as sports, drawing and other student cantered activities and events.
  • To smoothen academic operations throughout the year and also non-academic operations viz sports day, annual day, republic day, community volunteering, PTM etc.
  • To support teachers through interactive sessions.
  • To conduct subject wise week in schools for Science, English and Math linked with the annual curriculum.
  • To extend technical support to teachers on subject specific skills.
  • To support on difficult concepts and conduct specific need-based refresher training.
  • To extending support in planning the entire academic year including curriculum rollout, remedial, assessments and processes for ongoing monitoring and mentoring.
  • Candidates should aware about local language.
