True friendship is reflected when someone becomes the strong line of defense behind the other person so that when one falls, the other one is there to become their support. Sunil Kumar and Arshad Khan set the perfect example for an everlasting bond between two friends.

Sunil was the head boy of the Satya Bharti Adarsh Sr. Sec. School, Jhaneri, Punjab. He resided in the Sanghreri village. Arshad’s family lived in the Raisingh Wala Village.  Both the boys did everything together and loved each other’s company. While Sunil was growing in his final years in the school, Arshad was facing some issues which were drifting him away from his studies. Sunil always remained focused on any issue that might impact the school; even a drop of water being wasted bothered him.

When Sunil and Arshad were in class XII, Sunil visited the Principal Neeru Ma’am and shared his concerns about Arshad’s distractions and falling grades. He promised the Principal ma’am to make his best effort to ensure that Arshad scored well in his class XII board exams. The Principal looked into the matter and arranged for teachers to regard Arshad with special attention. The teachers motivated Arshad to study harder, gave him extra classes and provided him special assistance for any doubts that he may have.

Two months later, while Sunil scored 83% marks in his class XII board exams, Arshad surpassed everyone’s expectations scoring 71% marks. They have set a perfect example for how strong bonds and somebody’s belief can make even the most difficult goals achievable!
