“My father Chandra Ram passed away in my childhood. Luckily, I was enrolled in school and would walk 13km every day to it – to pursue my studies. There was no earning member in the family when my father died and it was my mother, a housewife, who took on the entire responsibility of taking care of all six of us. The most important part of this was that she made sure we got an education. Watching her handle all this gave me a first-hand understanding of how to struggle in life. I learned that in the face of challenges in life one must embrace them and be determined to move forward by overcoming them. I am a student of Class XI and was happy with my score of 89% in Class X. It was a valuable experience. I dreamed of playing kabaddi for the country. I performed very well at the district level kabaddi competition and was selected for the state level and played for Jaipur at the state level sports competition. We were runners-up. I am looking forward to being selected for the next level. With hard work and consistently good performance, I will definitely fulfil my dream one day.”
