National Girl Child Day Celebrations in Rajasthan

January 24, 2021: Satya Bharti Schools in the Kanasar cluster in the state of Rajasthan commemorated International Girl Child Day. Students from the Satya Bharti Schools in the villages of the cluster enthusiastically partook in the celebration of this important day.

National Girl Child Day was first initiated in 2008 by the Ministry of Women and Child Development. This day aims to focus on the inequalities faced by girls, to promote the education, health & nutrition of the girl child, and to spread awareness about the rights of a girl child.

Keeping in mind the current circumstances, an online awareness campaign was carried out at Satya Bharti School in Harinagar to promote the education of girls. The event was conducted under the supervision of Regional Coordinator Mani Kumar Swamy. A great effort was made to help the children become self-sufficient and initiatives were made to provide opportunities for them to explore the opportunities available to them in the future. Painting, essay writing and quiz competitions were also held in all the schools in the Kanasar cluster.
