Learning becomes fun when it is taken beyond the four walls of the classroom!
Children from Bharti Foundation’s partner govt. schools in Jorhat, Assam were in for a surprise when a nature learning class was organised for them.
The routine classroom sessions were given a break, and the visit was designed as a direct field oriented information collection process through which children can watch their surroundings and then make observations in relation to different aspects of nature.
Attempting at this innovative practice to arouse a child’s curiosity and to enrich his/her psychological development process, the visit was enthusiastically undertaken by all children where they got demonstrations on different trees, herbs and medicinal plants.
Currently, Bharti Foundation has partnered with 60 government schools in Assam in the districts of Bishwanath, Jorhat, Kamrup and Majuli under its Satya Bharti Quality Support Program, helping enhance the overall school experience of more than 10,000 students and over 400 teachers.
