“Rebirth of my passion during lockdown”

The pandemic COVID-19 has changed the way we live. The nationwide lockdown has restricted us within our houses, but on the other hand, it has also given us an opportunity to look at things differently. Spending more time with ourselves, we are now better equipped to chase some things that had been on the list of desires and passion that we didn’t earlier have the time for.

Ms. Geeta Rani is working as a teacher with the Primary School of Kachwwa, Haryana (Partner Government School under the Satya Bharti Quality Support Program). She loves her students and school, and misses them a lot. However, she believes that the lockdown has also helped her in pursuing things that she loved and never thought would be able to invest time in.

“Working with this school, I have learnt and developed so much. This school has given me opportunities that I didn’t even realize I needed. When Haryana Government announced ‘COVID-19 Sangharsh Senani’ Initiative, I found out about it from team Bharti Foundation. The Initiative encouraged participants to suggest ideas and thoughts to fight the coronavirus to facilitate the welfare of country”, said Geeta.

Initially, even though Geeta was inclined towards participating in the poem writing competition under the Initiative, she wasn’t confident enough to partake. She thought that her poem writing skills have dwindled as she hadn’t written in a while. After getting a lot of encouragement from her family and team Bharti Foundation, she garnered the courage and picked up the pen.

“My idea was to encourage the warriors who are fighting against coronavirus, and community at large. Hence, I wrote a poem dedicated to the great work that our doctors, medical staff, government officials, police, the army and all our corona warriors have been doing to save humanity”, Geeta added.

On finding out that she has been recognized for the poem she had written, Geeta said, “I never thought my work would be acknowledged but when I found out that the poem has earned recognition, I was ecstatic! I felt like that very moment was the rebirth of my passion and a boost to my self-esteem!”

चल रहा था संसार, ख़ुशी की लहर थी

खुश था आसमान यह और खुश थी ज़मीन भी

न सोचा था कि इसे नज़र लग जाएगी

सुखी ज़िन्दगी हमारी कैद होकर रह जाएगी

तरस जायेगा इंसान, इंसान से मिलने को

ये प्रकृति हमसे इतना रूठ जाएगी

मत घबरा रे इंसान

डटे हैं चारो ओर वीरजवान

लगाकर जान दांव पे

बचा रहे हैं हस्पतालों में बन कि भगवान्

बीत जाएगी यह दुःख की घडी भी मत घबरा

गर साथ देगा इस देश का हर इंसान

देखना फिर हरा गेंदे मिलकर हम इस कोरोना को

और देश मेरा गर्व से कहलायेगा मेरा भारत महान

Job Description Academic Mentor

  • To support School Heads / Principals and strengthen the curriculum planning, delivery and class room transaction process for improved effectiveness.
  • To optimize usage and improvement of school’s infrastructure and facilities especially working toilets, functional library, computer labs, Science labs and energized classrooms.
  • To activate critical processes such as sports, drawing and other student cantered activities and events.
  • To smoothen academic operations throughout the year and also non-academic operations viz sports day, annual day, republic day, community volunteering, PTM etc.
  • To support teachers through interactive sessions.
  • To conduct subject wise week in schools for Science, English and Math linked with the annual curriculum.
  • To extend technical support to teachers on subject specific skills.
  • To support on difficult concepts and conduct specific need-based refresher training.
  • To extending support in planning the entire academic year including curriculum rollout, remedial, assessments and processes for ongoing monitoring and mentoring.
  • Candidates should aware about local language.
