The Satya Bharti Educational Rockstars Achievers – Rajasthan

September, 2020: Bharti Foundation organised the Satya Bharti Educational Rockstars Achievers (SBERA) Awards to felicitate the contribution made by teachers across different regions, to mark the Teachers’ Day 2020. The virtual award ceremony was a testimony to appreciate the exemplary work of the Satya Bharti Teachers and the contribution they made to help students from unprivileged section of society, despite the challenges, during the pandemic.

The SBERA Awards were presented to teachers under three categories:

(a) The Teachers’ Subject Knowledge Test (TSKT) to award the subject knowledge of the teachers

(b) Pedagogical Awards to acknowledge prestigious external titles bagged by the teachers

(c) The Teachers’ Changemaker Awards to recognize those teachers who went the extra mile to spread awareness about Covid-19 among students, their parents and the community.

Under the TSKT Awards, for the Primary and Elementary School category, Mr. Hukum Singh from the Satya Bharti School, Dasania, Jodhpur, bagged the award for his outstanding performance In the English-language paper.

The Pedagogical Award for excellent display of work was awarded to Mr. Jaswant Singh from the Satya Bharti School, Tulesar, Jodhpur, who bagged the ‘Subject Topper – Primary Hindi Medium’ Award by CENTA (Centre for Teacher Accreditation).

The teachers of the Satya Bharti Schools did not only ensure that every child gets proper education during COVID-19 but also contributed towards preventing the outbreak of the coronavirus through spreading awareness and distributing safety kits. They also came to the rescue of those who found it hard to arrange ration by distributing food supplies among the needy. The Teachers’ Changemaker Awards recognised the efforts of these teachers:

Prevention of outbreak through comprehensive awareness (SILVER)

Dhanraj from Belwa Ranaji, Jodhpur: Dhanraj is an extremely motivated individual and a go-getter. To keep his students and their families safe from the coronavirus, he took up the responsibility of constantly telling them about the importance of wearing masks, washing hands and practicing social distancing. His efforts have gone a long way in COVID-19 prevention.

Prevention of outbreak through comprehensive awareness (GOLD)

Sugna Ram from Sopra, Jodhpur: Sugna Ram, besides using social media platforms to spread awareness on COVID-19 and its prevention, also worked with government agencies to ensure people coming to his village from outside followed quarantine guidelines issued by the Union Health Ministry. His active role helped check the spread of the coronavirus.

Prevention of outbreak through distribution of Safety Kits (GOLD)

Ran Mal from Belwa Ranaji, Jodhpur: Ran Mal served the poorest of the poor, like animal grazers, who had to step out of their homes during the lockdown. Seeing the risk they were taking, he made masks available to them.

Job Description Academic Mentor

  • To support School Heads / Principals and strengthen the curriculum planning, delivery and class room transaction process for improved effectiveness.
  • To optimize usage and improvement of school’s infrastructure and facilities especially working toilets, functional library, computer labs, Science labs and energized classrooms.
  • To activate critical processes such as sports, drawing and other student cantered activities and events.
  • To smoothen academic operations throughout the year and also non-academic operations viz sports day, annual day, republic day, community volunteering, PTM etc.
  • To support teachers through interactive sessions.
  • To conduct subject wise week in schools for Science, English and Math linked with the annual curriculum.
  • To extend technical support to teachers on subject specific skills.
  • To support on difficult concepts and conduct specific need-based refresher training.
  • To extending support in planning the entire academic year including curriculum rollout, remedial, assessments and processes for ongoing monitoring and mentoring.
  • Candidates should aware about local language.
