During this period of nationwide lockdown, many new ways of learning have been explored and are being implemented. Remote classrooms have now become the need of the hour. While for most, it is an opportunity at their disposal, there are many students and teachers who have made extra efforts to keep the ball rolling; and they do not give up!
While it is imperative that students understand the concepts that their pedagogy covers, it is equally important for children to hone life-skills at a young age. At the same time, it is also crucial that their mentors, i.e. their teachers to also help them in understanding and adopting a holistic approach at everything they work upon in their lives.
Keeping in consideration the same, Bharti Foundation, in collaboration with Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, has introduced virtual workshops for the students and teachers of schools in the district of Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. These workshops have been specially designed to embed the concepts of goal setting, time management, procrastination management and stress management.
These online workshops have reached more than 150 students and 25 teachers till date. So far, 16 sessions have been concluded and many more are planned. The workshops have received a very positive feedback from the students, parents, teachers and the community members, who believe that life lessons like these can help children in navigating their energy to the right direction.
