The Satya Bharti Primary Schools aim to establish a robust foundation in the journey of academic exploration of a child. The program have covered sufficient ground since its advent in 2006. It has seen a phenomenal rise in the number of schools and the number of children being enrolled every year. Today, out of the 173 Satya Bharti Schools, 138 are primary schools, providing free and quality education to rural children in Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Tamil Nadu.
While state curriculum is followed in Bharti Foundation’s primary schools, innovation comes in the form of curriculum, Teaching Learning Materials (TLM), teachers’ training and a holistic approach to education. In Classes 1 and 2, the schools have Mother Teachers; Class 3 onwards there are subject specific teachers and one extra teacher in every school.
The education imparted through Satya Bharti Primary Schools is not restricted to the four walls of the classroom but encompasses a wider and more holistic perspective of learning. Teaching children to be aware of their surroundings, the methodology allows a child to gauge her own learning levels and be an active participant in her own journey towards knowledge. The program aims to break down imaginary walls of resistance and allows the outside world to seep into the classrooms, making the experience holistic and fulfilling. It aims to inculcate in children a desire to explore unknown horizons of knowledge, appreciate her own intrinsic cultural make-up and construct knowledge for herself, while working towards achieving academic excellence.
