Established in 2000 with a vision “To help underprivileged children and young people of our country realize their potential,” Bharti Foundation is currently working in 16 states in India, impacting the lives of more than 3,50,000 children.
Bharti Foundation runs 254 Satya Bharti Schools in six states under its flagship Satya Bharti School program with an objective of providing free quality education to underprivileged children in the rural pockets of India, with a special focus on girl child education. As an education NGO in India, it operates primarily in villages with discouraging male-female ratio, and emphasizes on maximum enrolment of girl children. Specially designed girl-child policy, separate toilet for girls, one female teacher in each shift and special sensitization campaigns have been put in place to encourage parents to send their daughters to school.
Bharti Foundation is also considered to be one of the best NGOs in India that works in close partnerships with the government, policy makers, corporations and local communities. The Satya Bharti Quality Support Program, that complements government’s programs to improve learning levels by creating institutions where all stakeholders including parents are involved in creating a change for the better, currently benefits more than 2,00,000 children and 8000 teachers from 700+ schools in 13 states in India.
More than 2000 dedicated individuals work with Bharti Foundation, comprising of over 1600 qualified teachers and 200+ experienced field officers across India.
