If you are determined to achieve something, no barrier is big enough to stop you. “No learning, without burning” is the motto of an 8-year-old girl Kavita who is currently studying in Satya Bharti School Tena, Jodhpur, where she was enrolled in the year 2012. Her father is a farmer who is the sole earning member for the family of nine.

Kavita is the torch bearer of hope and determination for her family. Despite facing numerous challenges, with the support of her teachers, she developed herself as a hardworking and dedicated student. Being an all-rounder participating in almost all scholastic cum co-curricular activities, Kavita has acquired first position from class PP to 8; she is determined to achieve good grades in VIII board examinations.

Kavita sets an example that anything can be achieved by anyone as long as the journey is fueled by courage and determination, no matter what the geography may be. She has always been curious about learning new things which lead her to generate interest in Science as she felt captivated by the nature outside. Her love for Science made her participate in Science Fair -2021 Quiz competition organised by NCERT & SIERT Rajasthan, from 8th of February 2021 to 11th of February 2021 in which she achieved first rank in Jodhpur, District level. Later, she was qualified for State level and bagged third position in it. She also showed interest in preparing creative models, charts, displays and many other TLMs that promoted learning of herself and her classmates.

The year 2020 has been very challenging for the whole world but that hasn’t brought down Kavita’s motivation at all. “In this time of COVID-19 when education as we know it has completely changed, Bharti Foundation & my teachers have been helping us by various virtual means including Google meet, Zoom learning app, Google form, WhatsApp etc. They are like trouble shooters for me. I am very thankful to all my teachers and Bharti Foundation”.

Kavita aims to become a doctor and has a checklist of developments for her village once she accomplishes her dream. She wants to provide all possible health facility to the needy people of her village and nearby. Next, she wants to open a primary school for children where she will appoint good teachers and academic members whose primary focus will be science, math, nature and humanities. She has so much to aim that we get inspiration from her – to never end in vain.
