The Satya Bharti Educational Rockstar Achievers Awards 2020

Teaching in one profession that creates all other professions and to mark the special occasion of Teachers Day, Bharti Foundation organised the Satya Bharti Educational Rockstar Achievers Awards (SBERA). The event acknowledged and felicitated the contributions made by the Satya Bharti School teachers across different regions. The virtually-held event focused on recognising the efforts of the teachers who went above and beyond their scope of work to acquire competence and skills, and also served the community during COVID-19 through various actions of awareness and prevention.

The ceremony was graced by Mr. Sunil Bharti Mittal, Chairman, Bharti Foundation (Founder and Chairman, Bharti Enterprises), Mr. Rakesh Bharti Mittal, Co-Chairman, Bharti Foundation (Vice Chairman, Bharti Enterprises), Ms. Radhika Bharti Mittal, Trustee, Bharti Foundation, Lt. Gen. Amarjeet Singh, Vice Chairman, Bharti Foundation, Ms. Mamta Saikia, CEO, Bharti Foundation along with other senior members from the Bharti Group Companies.

Since the event recognised the noble deeds of the teachers, a special logo was created to envelop the commendable work into one identity, representing their consistent work and their creativity in their profession.

The awards were given under three categories:

  • Teachers’ Subject Knowledge Test Awards (TSKT) were awarded to the teachers who have taken an extra effort to enhance their subject knowledge and have outperformed during the course of their teaching profession so far.
  • Teachers’ Changemaker Awards (TCMA) recognized teachers who have, during this period, spread awareness about COVID-19 amongst the Satya Bharti School students, their parents as well community members, and have worked locally to provide support to people in difficult circumstances.
  • Pedagogical Awards facilitated the teachers who have bagged awards from external sought-after titles including the Centre for Teacher Accreditation (CENTA) and Zero Investment Innovation for Education Initiatives (ZIIEI).

Awards such as these, bear testimony to the efforts made by our teachers who go an extra mile to deliver quality education along with all round development of the underprivileged students. This recognition sensitizes educators about the potential of innovative practices and encourages them to adopt and improve. The teachers who have bagged these awards include:

  • To support School Heads / Principals and strengthen the curriculum planning, delivery and class room transaction process for improved effectiveness.
  • To optimize usage and improvement of school’s infrastructure and facilities especially working toilets, functional library, computer labs, Science labs and energized classrooms.
